Solid Fuel

Solid fuel fires burn’s traditional fuels like logs or coal.

In order to get the best heat return from this fuel its all about the design of your fireplace. If you want to use this to heat your room and to loose to much heat by having an open fire place then you need to speak to a specialist.

It is also important to check you don’t live within a smoke-controlled area. This will limit your choice of fuel.

There are other practical concerns such as sourcing fuel and storing it. You also have to check the suitability and condition of your chimney and hearth.
