Heating Advice
I have been told that it is possible to move a gas meter up to 2 meters if within the same room and that this can be done by any corgi registered plumber/gas fitter. Can you advise?
Permission to move a meter is required, and you should contact your gas supplier (see your gas bill) to establish the correct procedure as they effectively “own” the meter and will be able to advise.
A Gas Safe-registered engineer will be able to carry out the work, provided he/she has the appropriate qualification for this work, but not all do. Again the meter owner should be able to arrange this
