Heating Advice
We had a direct mains pressured hot water tank fitted, the tank has a solar coil for future use. What certification documentation needs completing please? The plumber says there is nothing to complete but a guarantee card?
An unvented hot water system with electric heating (even though not attached to a boiler or CH system) will still require notification under Building Regulations (Part G - G3, Hot water supply and systems). If the plumber is a member of a Competent Persons Scheme for unvented installations (which he should be to carry out the work) then he can issue a notice of commissioning and notify Local Building Control - who should then issue a certificate of completion.
