Installing Domestic CHP

Domestic Combined Heating and Power (CHP) is a very new system and so it only has limited availability.

As it essentially replaces your current gas boiler you can just replace like for like. The only things you will need are:

• A gas supply
• A new electricity meter for import/export

If you want to install one you must make sure that:

• The installer is Gas Safe registered and has electrical accreditation through a competent persons scheme
• Your utility company will need to fit the new meter to ensure excess electricity can be fed back to the grid.
